Dymock Half Marathon Results – Sunday 27th May 2018

Well the 28th Dymock Half Marathon has now come and gone. It proved to be one of the largest fields we’ve had since it was founded, with plenty of locals and running clubs participating. The weather was pretty good for running even with the heavy burst of rain. Local runner James Rose retained his winners trophy and even set a new course record along the way with a time of 1 h 17 mins! I would like to thank the many people and organisations that helped on the day to make this such a success, including the 4 sponsors (Profil Solutions, John Goodwin’s, Three Choirs vineyard and...

Dymock CC v Cam CC – County Trophy Round 1 – Sunday 13th May 2018

Posted by on May 17, 2018 in Match Reports | Comments Off on Dymock CC v Cam CC – County Trophy Round 1 – Sunday 13th May 2018

It wasn’t to be a dream upset for 10 man Dymock as they were thoroughly beaten by Cam. A weak Dymock team led by Ed Buchan consisting of two under 15s and a player who hadn’t previously played were staring down the barrel from the start having lost the toss and sent to field. Cam a team in Division 1 set about a task with little challenge and once they realised this decided to turn the screw and truly demoralise the opposition in what was probably the most disrespectful game of cricket I have been involved in which comes as no surprise from a club marked 69th out of 70 in the Gloucestershire...

Langford v Dymock 1st XI – Saturday May 12th 2018

A top of the table clash at this early point in the season ended up turning into a bit of a damp squib as Dymock lost heavily in the rain to second place Langford. It was a good start for Dymock when on their longest away trip of the season, stand in captain Ed Buchan won the toss and elected to bowl first. That was as good as it got for the visiting side however. Last weeks hero with the ball James Field opened the bowling however struggled to find his rhythm in his first spell. His opening partner however, Martin Jones was excellent bowling straight through his allocated 9 overs conceding...

Posted by on May 16, 2018 in Match Reports | Comments Off on Dymock T20 v Down Hatherley – Wednesday May 9th 2018

It was a dark finish as Dymock won a tight game in their Gloucester Evening League Division 4 opener against Down Hatherley. In his first game as T20 captain Ed Buchan lost the toss as Down Hatherley elected to bowl first. Dymock’s side consisted of brothers Rhys and Aaron Baker making their first T20 appearance as well as George Goulding who was debuting in his first ever mens cricket match. Dymock’s opening pair Ed Buchan (32) and Dave Williams (55) started brightly with a strong opening partnership before being bowled by opposition captain Will Blackhurst. Wicket keeper Harry Wise (22)...
