Batting woes for Dymock Dymock vs. Fairford – 19th May 2018 A poor batting performance by Dymock meant that a Fairford victory on a beautiful May afternoon was swift and incredibly painful. Captain Ed Buchan lost the toss and as a result, Dymock were put in to bat on a hot cloudless day on a fresh pitch. Cheltenham Civil Service vs. Dymock It was an excellent start for Dymock as in his first game as captain for the 1sts in official capacity Andy Bevan won the toss deciding to bowl first on a slow and damp pitch. James Field (2/37) opened the bowling managing to get some pace and lift out of a surface which looked unlikely to do so. Well the 28th Dymock Half Marathon has now come and gone. It proved to be one of the largest fields we’ve had since it was founded, with plenty of locals and running clubs participating. The weather was pretty good for running even with the heavy burst of rain. Local runner James Rose retained his winners trophy and even set a new course record along the way with a time of 1 h 17 mins!
